Ingredients
Thin poha - 900 gm
split daliya - 150 gm
split peanuts - 150 gm
4 tsp coriander seeds - crush them little bit
6-7 petals of garlic - finely chopped or paste
1 and half tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp asafoetida
3/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp dry mango powder
5 tsp powdered sugar
5 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
6-7 curry leaves
salt to taste
Procedure
- Heat oil in a big pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves. Let them crackle. Add crushed coriander seeds, garlic and saute for a minute. Now add split daliya and peanuts. Saute for a minute on a medium heat. Reduce the heat to low. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, dry mango powder and salt to taste. Mix well and saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Start adding little poha at a time and keep mixing. Increase the heat to medium and keep stirring the poha for about 5-6 minutes. Switch off the heat and add powdered sugar to it. Let it cool down completely before serving.
- Store in a air tight container.
