Ingredients:
2 cups of all purpose flour
3/4 cup of cocoa powder
half cup cut raspberries
4 eggs
Melted butter – half cup
Powdered Sugar – 1 cup
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Baking soda – half tsp
Milk – 1 cup
Salt to taste
few whole raspberries, chocolate icing and chocolate chips for decoration
Procedure:
- Sieve the dry ingredients i.e. flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda. Add salt to taste and keep it aside.
- Melt the butter in microwave and let it cool down completely. Add eggs into mixing bowl and beat them nicely. Add butter and milk to it and again beat this mixture for about 10 minutes.
- Then start adding little quantity of dry ingredients at a time and beat slowly. Add extra milk if needed. Once all ingredients gets blended with each other nicely, add cut raspberries to it and mix well.
- Before you make batter preheat the oven at 350 degree F and grease the cake pan. Now, pour batter in it and bake cake for about 30-35 minutes. Decorate cake with chocolate icing, whole raspberries and chocolate chips.
Great recipe, and tempting pics, for a wonderful festive treat. A word of caution. Butter in the microwave takes very little time to melt, and a little extra time can cause it to turn brown, burn, and even catch fire. Try to give it about 5-10 seconds of full power for 20 grams and leave it for a while, don't worry that it is not all molten, as it will continue to melt even after that.
