- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, pinch of asafoetida, green chilies and curry leaves. let them splutter.
- Add chopped onion and saute till translucent. Add ginger and garlic paste and saute for few seconds till raw smell goes away.
- Add chopped tomato and cook till it turns tender.
- Add mushrooms, green peas, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Mix well and cover the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Keep stirring in between.
- Cook uncovered for 2-3 minutes till all moisture evaporates. Sprinkle some black pepper powder and serve hot with roti.
