Ingredients
Matar / Frozen Green peas - 1/2 cup
Milk - 2 + 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1/3 cup
Butter - 1 tbsp
Almonds - 6-8
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
Procedure
- Boil the peas in microwave till they turn soft. Make a smooth puree in a blender by adding little water.
- Heat butter in a pan. Add in peas paste and saute for 3-4 minutes till raw smell of peas goes away.
- Add in milk and let it boil. Keep stirring continuously. Then reduce the heat and allow it to simmer untill thickened. It will take around 15-20 minutes.
- Finally add sugar, almonds and cardamom powder. Keep stirring the mixture till sugar gets dissolved. Switch off the heat and let it cool down. Refrigerate it for at least half hour and serve chilled.
Kheer looks yummy. Peas in kheer sounds new.

It is a great recipe to make, it just struck me that peas are always sweet and would go well with sugar and milk. A very nice recipe.
